Objectives

The IME seeks to:

• Provide educational programs that enable graduating students to make significant contributions to and become leaders in manufacturing enterprises,
• Provide educational opportunities for those who are seeking lifelong learning,
• Provide training services that enhance the competence of workforce at sponsoring companies,
• Add value to manufacturers through deliverable projects motivated by manufacturing problems at sponsoring companies,
• Support a community of Syracuse scholars engaged in teaching and research of manufacturing,
• Support manufacturing activities of interest to both IME affiliated faculty and partner companies, and
• Establish a reputation for excellence in manufacturing education and research.
