1. Manufacturing Engineering Curriculum

  • MFE 600 (e-Manufacturing Project)
    This course is a project-oriented course integrating manufacturing equipment, data collection system, data communication system, programmable controllers, Manufacturing Execution System, Enterprise Resource Planning System such as SAP R/3, etc.
  • MFE 700 (Enterprise Modeling and Configuration)
    This course focuses on the business process modeling, enterprise modeling and simulation, and configuration of Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Implication of manufacturing decisions on the performance of a manufacturing enterprise is experimented. Hands-on laboratories will be conducted on SAP R/3. Materials from SAP’s “Integration and Configuration Workshop” will be incorporated.
  • SCM 702 (Principles of Management Science)
    This course covers concepts and development of analytical model building as used in global supply chain decision. SAP contents will be incorporated from WB100 and APO courses.
  • OPM 864 (Manufacturing Management Systems)
    The course covers supply chain system and global approaches to designing and operating transportation and distribution sub-systems. SAP contents from WB100 and LO050 are vital components of course work.
  • IST 642 (Electronic Commerce)
    This course focuses on current developments in information systems and networks for electronic business transactions. It covers electronic data interchange, secure financial transactions, and evolving marketplace mechanisms. Social impact and opportunities are discussed.

2. Supply Chain Management Curriculum

  • SCM 701(Introduction to Supply Chain Management)
    Supply chain system and global approaches to designing and operating transportation and distribution sub-systems.
  • SCM 702 (Principles of Management Science)
    Concepts and development of analytical model building as used in global supply chain decision.
  • SCM 401 (Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management)
    Supply chain dynamics and interrelationships, purchasing, order processing, inventory, warehousing, materials handling and packaging, transportation, international considerations, location analysis.
  • SCM 402 (Supply Chain Management Systems)
    Focus is on information technology related to supply chain management. Electronic communication, scanning, and tracking systems, enterprise-wide transactional systems, material and distribution requirements planning, supply chain planning, e-business.
